Spring 2021 Master Gardener Training
For this FIRST time, we will offer a SPRING training for TN Extension Master Gardeners here in Madison County. This training is unique in that it will be a STATEWIDE TRAINING! Avid gardeners from across the state who share a passion of plants & service, will receive their core training together as a statewide group. Our GROWTH TEAM, a dedicated group of Certified Madison County Master Gardeners, will be there to help you along the way and ensure your submersion into out local organization, Madison County Master Gardeners. We will have individual group breakout sessions (30 minutes) after each lecture as a time for us to team build and get to know one another.
Training will be administered through a hybrid approach. Lectures will be delivered virtually via live ZOOM on Tuesday mornings 9am-11am with Madison County Breakout Session to follow 11am-11:30am. In an effort to improve group connectivity and strengthen mastery of the skills learned in lecture, we will also offer optional Hands-On Lab Activities to be completed as a group or individually. These optional in-person sessions will be conducted outdoors as much as possible and of course, we will adhere to all University health safety recommendations concerning group gatherings. This portion of the training is flexible, and we will make adjustments as needed in consideration of COVID-19 and health concerns. Once registration is complete, we will discuss our options for these Lab activities as a group.
If you are interested in participating in the SPRING statewide training class of 2021, please take a look at the schedule and registration packet. Registration must be completed by January 31st, 2021. For questions please contact Celeste Scott, UT Extension Agent-Horticulture, at 731-668-8543 or firstname.lastname@example.org
