What Do Tennessee Extension Master Gardeners Do?
Tennessee Extension Master Gardeners are volunteers who love to garden and help others. We complete a Tennessee Extension Master Gardener Training Program, which is presented by our sponsor, the University of Tennessee Extension Service. Training sessions are held every year beginning in August. Our certified volunteers donate at least 25 hours a year on Official Master Gardener Projects that enhance the agricultural beauty and quality of living in Madison County. We also complete at least 8 hours of Continuing Education annually.
How to Get Involved.. If you are interested in becoming a TN Extension Master Gardener, please contact Celeste Scott, Madison County Extension Agent. The 2018 classes began in August with 30 enrolled and will be wrapping up in October!
Projects for Spring 2018
Please keep updated on project work days that are being scheduled for this spring by following the "Madison County Master Gardeners-Members Only" Facebook group. New opportunities will be popping up before we know it. Facebook is the quickest and easiest way for us all to stay up-to-date with these projects. Great things are happening within our organization and I encourage everyone to find a project that is meaningful to you and get INVOLVED!!
Happy Growing !
