The Madison County Master Gardeners are community volunteers who support and engage in projects and activities that will enhance the quality of life for Madison County residents.
We are so excited to have had such a large group in training this year with 35 participants who completed the course and will be working towards certification in 2018. I look forward to seeing you all at our regularly scheduled monthly Master Gardener Meetings!
What Do Tennessee Extension Master Gardeners Do?
Tennessee Extension Master Gardeners are volunteers who love to garden and help others. We complete a Tennessee Extension Master Gardener Training Program, which is presented by our sponsor, the University of Tennessee Extension Service. Training sessions are held every year in the Fall. Our volunteers donate at least 25 hours a year on Official Master Gardener Projects that enhance the agricultural beauty and quality of living in Madison County. We also complete at least 8 hours of Continuing Education annually.
