A crucial section of the tram line in Nottingham is set to undergo maintenance, a decision stemming from significant damage caused by severe flooding, as reported by Nottingham Express Transit (NET). The Clifton route will see all stops closed between Queens Walk and Clifton South Park & Ride on January 24 and 25. This maintenance work will focus on replacing the track ballast at Wilford Lane and conducting various repairs along the Clifton line.
To accommodate the disruption, a temporary bus replacement service will be operational between Queens Walk and the Clifton South Park & Ride during this period, with regular tram services anticipated to resume on January 26. Moreover, it's important to note that Wilford Lane will also be closed to vehicular traffic, necessitating a diversion, while a designated route for pedestrians will be made available around the construction site.
