Derek Gee-West is back in the saddle, racing for the first time since June at the UAE Tour. He's doing so with renewed vigor, having joined the Lidl-Trek team after a challenging period. The road to this point hasn't been easy. After a drawn-out split from Israel-Premier Tech, Gee-West faced a legal dispute over his contract, which could have resulted in a €30 million damages claim. But he's now in a solid shape, both physically and mentally, ready to take on the seven-stage UAE Tour.
